WHY RUNNING
Humans and dogs have been running together for almost 30,000 years. Our ancient bond is rooted in a shared history of survival and cooperation. Early humans domesticated wolves, forging a partnership that was crucial for hunting and protection. Together, humans and dogs would run side by side during hunts, with dogs using their keen senses and speed to track and corner prey, while humans used their intelligence and tools to complete the hunt. This collaborative effort not only ensured a more successful hunt but also strengthened the bond between the two species, highlighting a legacy of teamwork and mutual reliance that has endured through the ages.
Physical Health
It provides a higher level of cardiovascular exercise than walking, which can help improve your dog's overall fitness and endurance.
Mental Health
Running can help reduce stress and anxiety in dogs, leading to a happier and healthier pup.
Bond
Running builds a bond through cooperative activity. Unlike playing fetch, running requires you and your four legged friend to move in synic
Internal Drive
Your dog, contrary to ambush predators, evolved from endurance predators like humans. They are built to chase prey over longer distances, even miles. For most breeds there is a drive for and love of running.
Pushing Eachother
You will find running with your dog will either push you to new fitness levels or it will help push your pup to new fitness levels.
Connecting to Our Roots
Dogs have been domesticated for approximately 30k years. It is almost impossible to talk about humans without dogs. More so than horse, sheep or goats. Running with your dog will take you back to our ancient shared history.
